Wetter than before
Keeping with the idea that the most important news stories are local, it rained today. Not a lot (19mm) but it came with fury, shock and awe. This evening, there will be no reason to run the sprinkler, and although an all-time record was set, this morning, we can go back to believing in clement climate. For those who need to know, we managed to surpass the number of consecutive days with a humidex of 30C or higher. Happy?
Actually, the local farmers are happier. Comparative. Without water, those precious potatoes will remain tiny. I know, they boil faster, but there are limits. In the real world, who wants a French fry that is shorter than your thumb? Someone posted a menu from a local food truck, in passing. Offering a version of poutine where the cheese was an added cost extra. Guess the chef misunderstood the basic premise. Guess I won’t be going there for my carbohydrate hit.
I watched a video from someone explaining how to use your RV all year round. If you have ever wondered what happens to those children who master the art of building a fort out of all the blankets in the house, there is an answer. They graduate to “the joys of boondocking in drafty Class C vehicles”. I especially enjoyed the advice on how to keep the pipes from freezing. No link here; you need to pursue such details on your own time. I’m sure you’ll stumble across other eccentric lifestyles (whether or not you desire the insight).
