Milk on hand and deeper wells
I’ve found a new world of mysteries: analog synthesizers. I’ve watched a lot of videos, read a lot of technical comparisons, tried to imagine what on earth the folks on Gearslutz are going on about. No closer to understanding. Maybe I really need a new interest; perhaps brewing teas. Can’t be any more esoteric (can it?).
Anyhow, I’ve got lots of milk in the refrigerator, in apprehension of a week plus confined to barracks. The house is in travel mode/mood, although the dog and I aren’t along for the ride. Will we get a postcard?
In ON, the election noise continues. I have to rely on press reports and video clips, but it seems that fully 25% of the PC candidates used “fake” members to goose their selection as the anointed for a given riding. When their leader was asked, he feigned ignorance, and suggested that the interviewer contact the candidates in question. Wait! Either the leader accepts the flaw, or he doesn’t. He won’t say. It doesn’t bode well for any eventual attempt to govern.
Here on the Island, the well wishers (those who want deep wells for commercial purposes) are once again warning anyone who will listen that crops will fail, unless they get access to the stocks of ground water. It scares me, because I understand what happens when a well goes dry. No coming back to the well wishers for relief. They’re in business, not population support. Here’s the thing: drain the water table too quickly, and salt water might replace the missing fresh supply. Try to flush that out.
