A price check
Time for a price snapshot. In this case, gas by provinces, as of early May 2018. Meaningless, but interesting eventually. Bear with me.

What this shows (beyond the pennies per litre) is that taxation is really a provincial activity, given that the base price of a barrel gets quoted without the attendant refining costs and transportation. Having lived in four of the eleven jurisdictions, I’d like to think that extra taxes equaled extra services, but it just ain’t necessarily so.
My only time away from home, today, involved getting some of the “go juice”, so I paid careful attention to the local price. Can’t change it, or influence it.
I put the screen door back on the deck entrance. With the repairs, last year (they reseated the door), it had been removed and stored. Now we’re getting into the sort of weather that might allow opening up the house while dissuading the bugs. Elsewhere, the inevitable flower pics are starting. Daffodils, in microclimate corners near buildings. Dandelions, where nature can get away with. The others will bloom, in good time.
Found the transport cage a bit crowded this afternoon, when a pair of jays got inside before “closing time”. They were not in good humour, and there seemed to a bit of blame bitterness between the two. I opened the hatch and got nary a nod as the pair flew out of sight.
Lots of (good) new music out there. I’m in a sampling mood right now, seeking inspiration. Watched a movie about the life of Joe Meek; he also inspired.
