City sidewalks, cold and uncomfortable

posted in pets, travel |

Cold outside. Notwithstanding the lack of serious windchill, this is the first time I’ve seen the dog dancing. Serious paw discomfort on the bare city sidewalks; he clued in and tried to stay in the snow, because, you know, cold. I didn’t remove my shoes in a show of solidarity, because, you know, human wisdom.

Anyhow, without any need to “go out to the shops”, I opted to stay in where the floors were warm and coffee was available on demand. I had purchased some Pepsi yesterday, and failed to read the label. Served myself some Cherry Cola for that mistake. Or as the rest of the world calls it, Dr. Pepperish. I have got to lose this assumption that packaging has any constants. Sure, the plastic bottle cap was red rather than blue, but still…

I’ve ordered some cheap rack rails, as a push build a small case for studio electronics keeps me enthralled. A project for the New Year.

Son #2 and company came by at suppertime. After weighing the possibilities, I stayed with the dog and sent the others out to find a suitable table before convincing the dog to come and get some takeout Thai. The dog was confused by the whole restaurant environment, so we didn’t tarry.

On TV, lots of choice… hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey and a CNN documentary about life in North Korea. The off switch on the remote made sense. Now, time to sleep before the next leg of our journey. Warning of a big storm if we wait too long tomorrow.
