Back in the germ puddle

posted in economy, health |

I suspect the little kid. The one I haven’t seen. After several years away from contact with the “germ pool”, we’re right back in the puddle, and today I woke up with that telltale sign of being puddled. My nose; in full drip mode. Now, recent research confirms that a “man cold” really is worse than others believe. I just know that I’ll be back to bed, really soon. And as for other advances in medical knowledge, we now are supposed to “feed a cold AND feed a fever”. At a minimum, attempt to replace the constant loss of fluids (see full drip).

I’m unable to tell if anything important happened in the world today, as my internet feed is slow. Too early to blame that decision by our neighbours to abandon “net neutrality”? Rationally, yes. In terms of perception, I’d guess that they’ve already thrown the switches, and that my “train” is on a slow siding.

A study is underway to determine why folks in North America are fine with a meal of pork but unwilling to enjoy dog meat. (Not dog food…) Umm… one word: bacon.

Wait for some interesting (and complicated) court cases, now that BC has opened the door to claiming workplace discrimination by people employed at other companies. There goes the friendly interaction with the kid at the burger window. And I predict a downward spiral, as we start to figure out that life in retail involves people with a different payroll payout. Going to be a long, hot summer.
