Trying to find a moment worthy of mention
Only hours before bedtime, and I’ve got nothing. No marvelous tale to recount, or a plan for world peace to announce. There was one small moment, when I rebuilt the small dog biscuit box, so that I could top it up from the almost empty oversize carton in the garage, but that hardly counts (except for the hairy fellow). At least the big carton will be recycled, eventually.
And now even that victory has been taken away… there was another new box in the cupboard, and the recycled (now back in service) container had been broken down for a valid reason. I can’t win.
Time to check what the rest of the world has been up to. There’s the naming of Jerusalem as the site for the US Embassy, which is inflaming hearts throughout the region. I don’t want that sort of Pyrrhic victory on my credit list. How about… no, not that either.
I know one: my son revisited his high school in order to explain what is required to start a small business. I congratulate him, not only for the business thing, but for taking the time to “give back” as they say. Some kid, at a loss for what the future might hold now has a seed of an idea. That’s a success, by any measure. For me, the decision of “my kid” to repost photos from his distant past was also worth the look… he’s changed, in so many ways.
This just in: that rock in the Calgary parking lot (that people kept hitting) has been repurposed.
