Spritz the pots

posted in music, politics |

My amp is less noisy, now. Only required that I unplug the guitar, and then carefully spritz all the “pots” with that can of degunk spray that has been hiding for years, along with a regime of knob twisting. Have to wait until later in the week to see if my fix lasted more than a country minute.

What inspired me to action? Not sure. I’ve had several projects on the bench that will eventually generate sound/noise. I wanted to have things on my side, in case the effort is actually kind to my ears.

The provincial minister of education “deministered” today. I know, that’s probably not a word, but now that the schools are without a general, who will notice? The usual questions are “on” social media; whenever a top-level politician quits and says that it’s time for new challenges, the public wonders about the back story. Did he just wake up this morning and decide that it was time for a career realignment? Is there a senate seat available (actually, there is)? The rest of us will be waiting for news.

Another shorts and tee kind of day. I mean, I wasn’t out for long, but the climate was clement. Had to drag the big green bin back from the roadside, after the passage of that truck that upsets the dog. Any time I get to do that in less than a storm is a nod to the good weather elf. The winds are coming up, now; if we had leaves on the ground, they’d be off to the woods.
