The next few hours will be presented in Technicolor

posted in music, technology |

Some nights, sleep is elusive. When things finally kick in, accept that the next few hours will be presented in Technicolor. And then you get up, and the day is not nearly as interesting.

I had to be at the garage, early. I was. However, the car then required ten hours before getting a clean bill of health, and the monies (although well spent) will require some serious juggling of personal finances. So much for my empty credit card! Wheel bearings and sensors are expensive.

Some things do arrive, ahead of schedule. I placed an order for a wall wart on Monday, and the delivery van showed up this afternoon. In an “almost too good to be true”, my order matched my needs, and the old synth is now back to being an old synth. Some call the sounds “classic”, because once you hit “25 years ago” in the description, that’s how people make you feel better about your old tastes. I’m now watching the NAMM updates on YouTube.

Turns out that the Billboard feed on Twitter is a place to discover new groups. Bonus! I could spend my time searching randomly through the feeds on the web, or I can take the wonderful playlists, complete with links to videos, and learn about what other people are already keen on. Think of it as radio for the 21st century.

I’m awestruck at how the authorities are now dragging their heels on ending prohibition of a controlled substance. Do they realize that they’ve already lost that war? Time to turn on the taxation machine and profit.
