Day two of “max crowd”; we had enough of everything to get through the morning, and the beach was held in reserve for the afternoon. Funny how a house can go from full to reserve in a matter of minutes. I had no urge to sit in the sand for the afternoon, so they brought home photos of the infrastructure efforts.
This evening, I believe that the junior team is off to shoot “zombies in the dark”. Some sort of paintball game. My own take on the situation is that if I can’t see them I’m apt to make a missy mess. And so, again, just me and the dogs. Watched a very old Hitchcock movie, The Lady Vanishes, from the mid 30’s. A chance to marvel at the shallow plot lines and the use of railroad transport. So long ago!
Son #2 turned on his Spotify profile, and I discovered a few new artists. I’m letting that compensate for my “concert avoidance” this evening. Yes, live music is fun. No, a trip in the dark when already tired is less so. Last evening, the Jenga competition preceded the big fight (stream found on Periscope). I don’t follow boxing, and this wasn’t. Rather, a chance for a large purse of prize money to be shared by two fighters with nothing else on tap. My email offer to “stream it in my living room for $100” didn’t carry enough whatever it takes to get people to throw away their money. I can read about the results (two words) in the morning news.
