Dust off the light sabres
Could it be that I offered “free snacks with your ride”? Had another seed-siphon in the Hav-a-Hart this morning. This time around, arrived at destination, the exodus from the “transporter” went smoothly. Given the number of trees nearby, I’m sure I’ll have other riders before too much longer.
That rack of ribs that I purchased in the city (at $1.99/lb) is already baked and sampled. Yummy. I had considered the BBQ for my finishing step, but the oven worked magic; I’ll know (for future reference) that minimal manipulation makes the difference. That, and a simple spice coat. Again, yummy.
Another community group meeting this evening. Running two sites means twice as many details, and so the agenda dealt with all the little fixes we require before a single tourist crosses the threshold. Here we are, barely into June. Already, the attendance numbers are good. Staffing is almost completed, and now we hope to coast through to autumn.
Over in England, the Lord Mayor is vexed at the Trumpish tweets. Enough to call for a withdrawal of an invite to tour the palace grounds. Can a New World Order be far behind?
In Ottawa, some revisions to the Criminal Code are on the table. Imagine a world where dueling is no longer a felony! I’m sure the replacement rules will be just as harsh, but now I can dust off the light sabres in preparation for any offered insult. Should I purchase another copy of the “Canadian Book of Sins”? My last purchase dates back to almost the dawn of civilization.
