Arrived late at the buffet
And morning came, and they looked out on the desolation, and wondered “What have we wrought?” Another election, and the only analogy I can apply is that we arrived at the buffet after heavy noontime traffic. We could still fill our plates, but all the good morsels were gone. We ended up with a plateful of leftovers. Three elections in a row, so we’ve proven that no matter what the level of government, the people make choices that defy reason. A plateful of leftovers, barely warm.
