Our race to embrace the new space
This has been a hard day on stuff. The visiting dog does not have the same set of movements around things, and human stuff, and we now have an iPad and an external hard drive that have stopped being useful. Hard.
Actually, the RV preps hare progressing. The water test are concluded, and conclusive. We can get wet, in the appropriate areas. The hot water test is underway (I think) and the sinks are good to go.
For me, a session of tactile introductions to van life. I now know where the beds are and we have explore the underbunk areas. I need to move gingerly while building my own sense of space. Go ahead. Reach out. Touch things. Softly. Do not turn on the taps too quickly, or open the refrigerator without process. Soon, the dog will be given his turn to tour, and we will choose the right space for sleeping.
I miss seeing before I step, but I will just take my time. At least the car seats are in the usual place, and I can belt myself in for added comfort. Let the van hug me, if you will.
The water games involved repetitive fill and empty sessions. With a faint odor of bleach, we add a new sense of surround to things, while killing the microbes.
Hang in there fans. This is not a race, and I want to know the ins and outs and throughs while close to home base. The dealer left us with full tanks of gas and propane, which we accept gratefully.
