New van at hand
Not far from the main entrance. The house was under the watchful gaze of an assassin. Stealthy, fleet of foot, disarmingly photogenic. We use the code name “Foxy”, but for one distracted squirrel, overcome by the attraction of an endless bounty of seeds, the term angel of death is in play. I heard the sound, after the fact. We need such a guardian
Bringing the various extension cord up from the basement was, in part little more than a game of touchy-feely. Identifying the various ends and then lugging everything out into the daylight. It must have worked. The camper is now charging its batteries, and we wait for the next steps. Yes, those include inspections and insurance, because that is how the world sees a camper. Nothing to do with bed softness. I will wait until all is in order before doing my own tests. Also, the night air is chilly, and I will wait until we have a furnace to ward of the night air.
Are we happy that the world is unfolding as it should? Yes. The delivery driver said that the rig ran well, on his long voyage from away. He was back to the airport in time to make his own getaway, and now we will continue to plan for the summer.
I understand the wisdom of the various steps in preparation but it is best to be armed with patience. We cannot just go. Is now confirmed there are lots of lights inside the van. We still need to find more about the plumbing system and do our first water fill.
