Do they still have horses

posted in Uncategorized |

Today,  a fast food ad caught my attention. Probably not the worst item on their menu, but the idea of a “chicken Big Mac:  seems like a  chance to prove  how something might not be good for me. In fact, sight unseen, I am giving the item a BFN. Shorthand for Big Fat Nope, have checked the nutrition profile. No, I will not be adding this to my must have list of meals. Sorry.

Actually, I don’t do as much fast food as before. Too far to travel. To little value for my limited finances.

Fat is an illusion.

Based on my calendar read, we are on the edge of spring. Mudd season, locally. There is still some snow cover, but that could be erased with a good night of rain. Soon be time to plan for summer, and any visitors.  Sure, we have fishing, and planting, but tourism is the driving force in the economy. Did I mention there will be  some elections, too? Should check on the progress. I mean, it won’t change much locally, but getting your campaign car mired in the mud is always good for a giggle. Not as many horses around to pull you free. Unionization.  Seriously, there are folk tales about how it was to go from house to house, a generation back. I doubt that any of the current gaggle of gees are old enough to remember those times. If one stops by, I will ask, just to clarify. Is a flask of shine the going price for a vote, or has inflation got that one, too?
