I will even turn on the outside lights
Going forward, I will be known for the things I did not do. Right now, there is an excursion behind a horse, going on in a nearby town. What people like to call a “hay ride” or a “sheigh ride”. Fun for the whole family. Except, I don’t particularly want to sit on a solid bench, in the breeze from an oversized motive force. Gas driven, but not in the sense we usually associate. I think I’ll wait for the photo record, while keeping warm. We have to make choices.
No, I’m going to concentrate on supper. No idea where that will lead, but I’ll be in the comfort of my own home.
So, today was more of the same as yesterday, and the day before. I’m on a steep learning curnve, trying to understand the descriptors used by sales people for expensive toys. Excuse me, leisure goods. I hope they are good, because the prices give me pause. I gasp, often. At least my interests don’t mean “yachts” or “private jets”. I would be so disappointed by my reality.
There was an offer to go on a road trip, this morning. I just can’t see myself in a small car, for more than two days. Waiting for an ice storm, or worse. Did I mention that being safe, at home, is not so bad (or sad)? My take on things is that if folks want to share my air, I have an extra couple of bedrooms, an oversized parking area and regular bridge service to get here. I’ll even turn on the lights, if I think you’ll be getting in late. Let’s see how much traffic that drums up. And I have drums on hand, if you want to go that way.
