Your belly button is no longer required
Look up. Look down. Somewhere in the middle, you have a “belly button”. Just like a puppy, or a kitten. It used to be the center of YOUR world. Things change, and by extension, you no longer need to be the center of the world.
I bring this up, to make a point. We are still in a world with others. And if someome asks you to “wear a mask”, don’t be an idiot about it. Remember, you are not the center of the world.
Are “they” asking you to wear a mask when you are alone? At home? Out walking in the wide open world? I didn’t think so. The mask is to protect others. Ergo, when you are WITH others. It’s a social thing. And unless you have withdrawn from society, moved into one of those hermit huts on a rocky island off the coast of Paradise, you have respoonsibilities; to others. You can’t tolerate a mask? Too difficult. Then, stay home. Please. There was a time before our current pandemic. If you ever want to return to that halcyon time, you will have to “play the game”. In big people words, be responsible. Go ahead, tickle your bellybutton (in the privacy of your own home, please!). But when you are out and about with the rest of us, a mask is a fashion accessory. Be fashionable.
Windy, right now. A touch scary for some, who are still trying to forget the long night with Fiona. And I will assume that others, in other places, have their own triggers for post-storm trauma. Not quite the fun we all thought it woould be.
