Dessert spacing
Earlier this week, I had a two-dessert day. Cheesecake and lemon pie. Both excellent. Today, I have nothing. There’s a lesson here. I just haven’t quite figured out how to phrase it.
I’m still dreaming about life as a musician. Listening to new sounds, and following the process explanations of others. Apparently, I have to do something, beyond silent contemplation.
Outside, the weather remains excellent. Summer goes beyond what it used to. Back in the early ‘70s, going to the beach was a moment for dressing in layers. One of them, a parka. Now, we have barefoot options. I did go, yesterday.
Actually, my video history lessons (from yesterday) saw me trying to get my head around “hunter stones”. I’ll leave you to follow the thread. Simply put, we’re in a drought, across much of he planet. Makes feeding our growing world population into a challenge, unless we figure out how to turn pebbles into delicacies. Seriously, history does have things to teach us. The old adage about “waste not, want not” applies to the water table. I keep a close eye, locally, but we seem to be safe. Unless the potato industry gets aggressive. We don’t have to run sprinklers to keep the lawn green. Requires too many mowing sessions, from my viewpoint.
Tonight, as a new add to the menu for supper, we are having cabbage rolls. Part of the freezer bounty that is due for renewal. I’m hungry, in the absence of desserts, and cabbage is one of the tastier vegetables.
