A misdirected reaction
Along the way, I’ve mentioned that our dog has long toenails. Had it checked by the vet, and it’s just the roll of the dice. We could go for surgery, but we haven’t. The pitter-patter is reassuring.
In sharp contrast, we have our “borrower” dog in th ehouse, overnight. Short, normal nails. With his natural beige fur, and silent approach, it is akin to having a ninja around. I have to pay attention, in case he has decided to stand right in front of me at knee level. A hazard.
And that’s the news around the house, right now. A weekend where we help the neighbours to slip off to a cottage overnight, without the care and feeding of their dog. I don’t mind.
In the news feed, not much to notice. We’re all getting ready for autumn, with the schools back in session and the bug count dropping. Not in consequence. Watching some reactions on Twitter to the firing of a news anchor. Why? Because the way that people show their frustration leave me puzzled. The suggestion that we should all boycott Bell; there goes my phone and Internet service. Not willing to offer those up in a meaningless reaction to something best left to HR. Really. I don’t think my decision to “cut of my nose to spite my face” would mean much in a corporate boardroom.
