Setting the trap for a visit

posted in Uncategorized |

Just keeping track. We were out to a local restaurant for supper; proof that we do leave the security of the home from time to time. My meal was mediocre. A factor of not choosing carefully enough from the menu. As someone said, I should have opted for the seared scalloped rather than the mystery meat sandwich. My failiure to communicate.

I’m still dealing with my post-Covid congestion. Aggravation, more than anything else. Having gone for years with no “sounds like you have a cold”, I am aware of the difference.

What else set today apart from another. I did forward a funny lighthouse clip to the lighthouse lady. Just in case she hasn’t seen it before. Many times. There aren’t many lighthouse memes out there.

We are trying to figure out how we can lure son #3 over for a visit. It’s been a while, and it might be an adventure. The “getting here”, the “getting around”, the “getting back home”. Maybe we can turn it into a RV road trip. I’ll ponder the options, and then leave the final choice up to him. We are really flexible.

And there’s always my best way to spend a quiet afternoon. With a mix of political and musical video content. I mean, we all want to learn how that shipshow to the south will play out. And no matter what happens, we are clearly just spectators. For which I remain thankful.  The odds of a global thermonuclear catastrophe remain low.I think. Should avoind jumping to unconfirmed conclusions.
