Continued testing
If it works fWhy ar cricket, maybe it works for “home alone training”. The dog, I mean. We decided to go for a second evening of humans out and dog in, by visiting a new local restaurant. New, sort of. A familiar locale, with familiar furniture, and a familiar menu, but with new owners. Let the record show that the food was great, and the dog passed his time alone properly.
Why are we so obsessed with leaving the dog alone? Simple; we’ve been with him for a decade. As in, three thousand, six hundred plus days. Time for the old folks to take back their liberty, while leaving the old dog in his advertised role as guardian of the castle. I’m sure that the barking deterred any housebreak attempts, twice now.
My days continue to involve phone calls from scam artists. The recent wave of phone calls to let me know my SIN had been revealed were just noise. I know all about my sins, and I confessed them years ago. Oh, not those sins? Anyhow, I really want to talk to the agent on the other end. I want proof that I am me. Sadly, each effort to learn more about my “stolen identity” are an invitation to have the call terminate. How are they going to steal my stolen whatever, if we don’t actually talk about it. I have so many questions.
We awoke to the screech of one of our smoke detectors. Triggered by a cross draft from outside, I beelieve. Once the west window had been closed, all quieted. Not a real evergency. Not a failing battery. My guess is that the neighbour has decided to burn some brush, rather than waiting for curbside collection.
