Cover complications

posted in Uncategorized |

Some jobs take longer than expected. Even the simple ones. I had decided that this would be an ideal evening to finish my BBQ installation. Finally atttach the propane tank, and do the sniff test. That part went as I had hoped.

The hitch, or the snag, or the frustration happened when I went to put the cover (sort of a cloth tent) over the whole affair and go back inside before the bugs culed in to the presence of fresh meat. Mine. The cover had been on top for a couple of weeks now. Nothing new. But I took a very long time to get things squared away. Were there gremlins? Probably more a fail on my part, since I don’t get the full view that used to make this simple. Anyhow, I’m done for today.

So, what about our big adventure, last night. This involved us, and live theatre, and a visit to a familiar veenue. Except for the removal of the elephant diapers. This was my first “waalk” from a parked car, over the tiny mountains that are part of our concrete jungle. There were moments. All of them due to the walk, and not the play. That went really well, although I cannot claim to have actually seen the cast. Good voices. Great music. Any dance steps will remain as something to see, another time. Ane when the play ended, and we had retraced our steps to the car, in the dark, my relief was palpable.

As for the dog, we know that he did spend time barking. Several hours worth. He also ate all the “treats” arrayed on his behalf. No mess. No danage. Good dog! We’ll do more of this in future, because dogs in cars (outside of the dead of winter) come with a whole set of issue. Son #1 has offered to let us try the monitor camera; not sure why, as we already know how the dog handles stress. Perhaps a better selection of treats. I’m not sure that I would want to be observed by CCTV, in my own home, while I barked and panted. Or ate all the available treats.
