For want of a (wiper) blade
The world needs karma. If thisI is something in limited supply, I vote that we give the first doses to the programmers at Microsoft, who decided that updating my Windows and then letting me know after the fact, deserve a whoppign share. I just sat down, here, and learned that something has changed. It is now up to me to discover what. I really am too old to find this amusing.
I am already stressed enough. We’re attending a concert this evening, in a large venue. I am out of practice. Sure, we’ve had a few “moments” in community halls and church basements, but this is bigger. And the dog isn’t invited. In fact, for the first time in many years, we are leaving his home to sleep and bark at ghosts. I don’t know how well this is going to play out. Also, we could have a change of plans before dark, and as someone that likes to plan ahead, this is wrong. Or could be. On so many levels.
I guess we’ll gamble.
The RV is away, getting the required MVI. Not a big deal. We have brakes and those flashing ligjts. He only weak point is a windshield wiper that is overdue for replacement. We tried, last summer. Bought the blade, and asked the garage to do the install. He tried, failed, gave up and kept the blade. We are still shaking our heads over that one, almost a year later. And trying to get the requiired rubber. Imagine if we had something like an enclosed storage building. The word is on the tip of my tongue. A garage, which you can pronounce as you see fit. Something long, and tall. And cheap and snowproof. Guess that will be for after a lottery win.
