Alternatives to a yard sale
Here we are, in early May. The kind of Sunday when students convocate, pets lay in the sun (if they haven’t escaped protective custody). Calls home to family. All of the above. And with that, certain questions that are vexing.
I’ll go with “when are you coming to visit?” What if you have never come to visit? What should I answer? I think that I live in a wonderful place. Beside the sea, with some of the best beaches in the nation. Not enough to convince others. How about if I put on a BBQ? Still not enough? I am at a loss. No other goodies to offer, right now.
Just watched another rail travel video. I had recently completed a ten part series crossing this nation. Today, a trip through the “hilly country” in Peru. Looks enticing. The sleeper would let me sleep (apparently high altitude has that effect). I;m not shopping for my ticket, but my bucket list continues to grow. If I can’t see where I’m at, does that change anything?
We’re still having frosty nights, so the RV spring fling will have to wait. Not much longer. The job takes only a few hours, so I don’t have to build up my anticipation level.
Actually, I should start pitching out boxes. How long is “long enough” for stuff to remain in storage? Will I ever re-read tobse books (no, not a chance)? Will I turn a collection of hardwae bits into anything useful? Time to make some lifestyle choices. I suspect that the kids don’t want my junk. And the really interesting stuff can speak for itself. I am too far off the beaten track to consider a garage sale.
