Not much to note
My effort to find some newsworthy news has come up empty. However… proof that not everyone is on “your side” with the decision by the lawyer for those truckers that are MIA from real life and believed to be parked in downtown Ottwara.
He is trying to calm the spirits of all involved, by asking the guys with the loud horns to take a break. Yes, the klaxons have got the attention hoped for, but the support is faltering. A lot of folks need to sleep, and when you lose the support of your fans, the goals you score had best be spectacular. For the truckers, the goals aren’t there.
Telling the nation about how hard working you are, and how necessary to daily life seemed like a plan, until nobody noticed that deliveries were still making it to the store shelves, and that folks wondered what work you might do in normal times, if you could afford to tie up for a week and counting.
My prediction? The best laid plans of mice and truckers aren’t convincing the rest of us. Time to head home before a big winter storm leaves you stranded. I mean, that advice works for the rest of us.
Speaking of storms, we might be getting another one in the next few. Turning this year into a repeat of ’15 is great for nostalgia, and snowshoes, but most people wat to welcme the summer months, as soon as possible.
Did I mention that there wasn’t much news, today? This post should serve to support my thesis. Also, I can still see the road from the doorway, so the snowbanks aren’t spectacular, yet. Also, our deck is cleared, so we need some new heavy weather. OK, not really. But this is fast turning into a season like any other. Go big, or go home. Just about the same advice I would give to those lost truckers.
