Shadow seeker
The day was sunny and bright. Excellent chance for a near-sighted rodent to see its shadow. Slight problem, locally, because we don’t seem to have any (I asked the oracle) nevertheless, I also checked with Twitter, and the reesults 0f shadowseeking were mixed. Some saw. Some didn’t. Guess I’ll have to rely on other sources for the approximate date of spring.
We took andvantage of the clear weather and went (briefly) into the city. A medical appointment, if anyone official wants a reason. The reality was that I was short on pressurized CO2, so that problem has been fixed. Refilling the “big tank” can wait for warmer times.
A medical clinic is likely to instill fear, in this pandemic. Yes, we mask up, but when someone starts to “cough up a lung” as people say, the collective reaction is to move back a few meters. Tricky in an enclosed space. We received our inspection, along with some positive chatter and then we got out of the area. See you some other time.
We contemplated dining out (In) and did not. Home is where the heart is, and our pantry and refrigerator. I suspect that any regular frequentation of an eatery is delayed.
The only real news, in the nation, involves another species that seems doomed to self-extinction. The LOTO (Leader of the opposition) took the vote of his brothers and sisters and cousins as a sign that it takes more than seeing your own shadow to remain in place as a party leader. The Erin O’T is seeking a new job, going forward. I wonder if he’ll blame it on his similarity to a marmot. Will anyone really care? Life as a political leader isn’t any easier than predicting the weather.
