Awaiting the Starlink train
Even a false alarm can be “alarming”; this afternoon the alert system notified the whole interprovincial region that there might be a live shooter in the Halifax area. No chances taken; things halted. Stores and public spaces were locked. And then, we waited. Several hours later, the all-clear. We will probably never know what set off the response, although someone did mention that there was some blasting in a quarry (work related). Again, no chances taken. And I guess that’s how it should be.
