Would have been the highlight
Missed seeing the cable laying ship, again. My marine traffic site tells me she sailed by here, in the dark. I mean, it’s not that big a deal, but the ship is three times as wide as my usual ferry boat. Be fun to put the telescope on her and get a feel for what a marine giant is like.
It would have been the highlight of an otherwise quiet day.
Let’s face it, right now the only excitement comes from my local news station. The weather man just became a grandfather. The tyke that loads the dishwasher at a local appliance emporium has moved beyond simple actions to simple words. The opinionated sports analyst was actually coherent, this evening. I notice the little details.
There were also some new sightings around the feeders. Or in proximity. Woodpeckers are NOT here to stock up on sunflower seeds. Next will be the nectar slurping hummingbirds. Only weeks away. And meanwhile, the jays continue to watch me through the front window. I’m not paranoid!!
In the nation’s capital, an outcry that someone is snooping on cellphone traffic. Hint: stop talking so loudly, especially in public places. Yes, we can hear you, despite our best efforts. Your life isn’t as interesting as you think.
The word is out; you should have CO detectors in your home. I do, even if I have nothing that produces CO… is this overkill? What I would really like to have is “using too much electricity, needlessly” detectors. That might prove worthwhile.
