Will greed save (the rest of us)?

posted in economy |

And again, no sign of the forecasted storm. Perhaps this spring thing is really going to happen. Not to complain; this has been an “easy winter”. As the temperatures rise, the rodents return, and I had an additional taxi run this morning. Left the beastie cooling its heels until my curling broadcast ended.

And with that excitement over, the day went back into quiet mode. The only thing on my list was to get the recycling roadside before bedtime; all done before supper. When you don’t miss a month, the pile is actually reasonable. Nobody will stop to take photos, etc.

More classic movies… this afternoon, I screened D.O.A. which didn’t make much sense, but the street scenes in San Francisco were fun. The main hotel is still there, should I ever opt for tourism filtered by movie sites. Not likely. Perhaps I should go for a diet of sci-fi, in case we ever have an opportunity to rocket elsewhere. Apparently THE Stephen Hawking is signed up for a trip real soon now. Goes to show that no matter how much education you get, the chance to do something out of this world will seem like a good idea.

The Donald has dropped in the “richest men” standings over at Forbes. Not just pennies, either. About 25%, based on some quick math on the back of my hand. Will it be enough to convince him that playing Prez is not as good a deal as he thought? Perhaps greed will save (the rest of us).
