Bits and bites (bytes?)

Pardon me for feeling a bit bemused. Turns out that (if and when) a certain drug prohibition is lifted in Canada, one of the largest pharmacy chains will be ready, willing and able. Shoppers has applied to provide. That should keep the small time entrepreneurs in check.

Checked out a small island village, somewhere in Greece… thanks to Google Street View. No automobile parking, so this was evidently a backpack camera in action. Actually, after checking on the “Gibraltar of Greece”, which bears the name Monemvasia, I’m able to provide a link. Pretty cool, and I don’t have to go through any airport lines to get here (there?).

A new iOS upgrade this afternoon – it didn’t brick the iPad!

Desperately seeking a mate: Jeremy Snail. Maybe there is an alternative to those seedy dating sites that advertise on late night TV; CBC Radio.

Remember when the news broke about VW and their fudged emissions testing? The court didn’t; today a US judge handed down the largest settlement in automotive history. How does the CEO get that little bit of red ink past the shareholders, come the next general meeting? Love to be a “fly on the wall”, to hear the spin.

Is your computer always on? If the new model, rumoured to be coming from Apple proves true, theirs will be. No power switch… I guess you can let the battery run down, when you want some away time from the keyboard. I’m trying to understand why this is a “good idea”, in the mind of an engineer.
