Creating a feed

posted in politics, technology |

Back a decade ago, while camping, I spent some time in conversation with neighbouring tourists from the south. At one point, I was dubbed as a “socialist”. You know, I still wear that label, with pride. The federal government has announced that they intend to revamp the old age pension program. As a socially aware taxpayer, I approve that decision.

Reading the comment section on social media, the reaction might be to despair for the sanity of the general population.  “How dare the government use taxation to help the population?” The proper answer: any way they can. Otherwise, the whole model of taxation returns to something practiced by kings, in the Dark Ages.

I need a quick guide to newfeeds. I’m trying to funnel this blog into a reader, just because I should be able. The various links seem to be in place, but I haven’t created a new chain. Based on my own experience, I’m missing one key element, but I’m not sure what question to ask to get the answer. Time to find one of those quick and dirty guides that abound. Or else, I’ll have to “ask a friend”.

Why? Well, that’s just it. Why not. Today, I convinced the iPad to subscribe to Apple.News, which seems to be a great way to have new and exciting non-news coming in 24/7. As a test case, I considered this blog as a great  one; after all, I have access to the behind the curtains section. And so I’ve loaded a plugin, and created a feed link, and then the whole thing went no further.
