More unusual purchases

posted in environment |

Another day filled with unusual purchases. Even though I’m not new to the homeowner scourge of having to get something else every turn around, this time I’m into unknown territory. Case in point: I now have a 25 kg sack of ditch mix (“containing red fescue”) and a roll of chicken wire.

I only bring these two item up, because neither will be used for its intended purpose.  This is McGyverism. And if all goes well, I’ll be better off, but my experience will be anecdotal. Around here, everyone else knows these tricks. I’m the one asking advice, often.

In the big city, we were goal-oriented. No deviation from plan, other than to eat at a random restaurant. I’m in for an evening of odd reflux, from my experiment with a shwarma.  That done, the car turned around and returned us all to familiar territory, before dark.

Political fun. One of the clowns in the US primary game has announced his running mate. Methinks he might want to wait until he’s actually the one on the real ballot, but I guess that optimism is a trait of those who would be king… er, president. Can’t wait to see how the whole game comes out, just over six months from now. Just so they can all start the campaign for the next time. This whole Supreme Leader Of The World gig requires a lot of energy, long before getting the keys to the palace.

And we’ve got flurries in the forecast for tomorrow. Should be the last, last time though.
