A serious crust
I’m surprised. A package of bacon that I took out of the freezer isn’t going to feed nearly as many people as I had calculated. If present tendencies continue, the count is going to top out at one. Mind, that person isn’t complaining.
On my own, this meal. I weighed the possibilities: left-overs from yesterday, or a quick fry-up. Pretty clear which choice won the (virtual) coin toss, isn’t it. And thanks to the wonders of refrigeration, the other menu item will either go to a late arrival, or I’ll dine well tomorrow, too.
Had to start this morning with some exercise: shovel the walkway to the front door, in case someone stopped by. And someone did, briefly. The contractor, on the other hand, remained absent. Probably too much wind and blown snow for any reasonable effort. Oh well.
Had to remove a surprising amount of snow from the car, as well. Looks like things picked up after I went to bed last evening. This was a serious crust; suitable for patching the igloo. I needed to check the mail, and the rules of law prohibit driving behind a layer of ice. Something to do with visibility… When we finally move to robotic cars, that will be a non-problem. Of course, climate change might alleviate the ice conditions, as well. Offshore, right now, no slurry. I was watching the news for seal hunters on NTV, and they still have a few area where they can chase pups, but down here, the seals are free to find better grounds.
