An unnecessary ache
So, what did you learn today? Well, I figured out that the island in the middle of the kitchen is just the right size to lean against. Huh? My abdomen aches, even after swallowing spoonfuls of anti-acid goop. You see, since sometime this morning (and this has nothing to do with resetting the clocks), I’ve had a tummy pain. Nothing threatening; an aggravation. Once I spotted that we were running low on a strategic surplus of rolled paper, I managed to make a quick run to the nearest supermarket; just in case. And now I’m waiting for the signal that bedtime is nigh. Despite that ache.
We had a visit from an old friend this afternoon, and I didn’t want to spoil the party by “belly aching”. Now that we’re back to the usual contingent, I’m going to convince the dog to lay close, and then I’m going to add to my sleep bank. Last night wasn’t enough (because someone else had that same tummy trouble). Could this be viral? Too early to tell.
And there you go. A day without much merit. I’m going to have to up the ante tomorrow. Perhaps a wander with the dog, once I’m sure that there are no contractors or delivery trucks in need of personal attention. Just a note to me: my “dead kitten” is enroute. It’s a brand thing, not a mishandled animal. A small windscreen for the portable recorder. I might want to make those howling wolves into a lasting memory, and the wind would only confuse the issue.
