First hints of autumn colours
I can count, and the homeward leg of the Great Brewery Opening Trip was today. Time to put in the mandatory fifteen minutes of house duties. I’m not messy (on my own) and it took me about that long. Not counting, of course, the time required for laundry. But, long before the arrival of the others, my life was in order.
Tried some time with headphones on, this weekend. The iPad has a decent speaker set, by default, but good cans really do let the bass come through. Not sure I want to go completely “in my own world”, but there are reasons to go for full sound. A nod to the TG Lurgan production team.
Early in the afternoon, the dog and I went for a wander. Glorious weather, with the first hints of autumn colours. The ferns, above all. Have to get out with the camera and capture a few frames, the better to test the newest printer. I’m decades removed from my obligation to print stuff; this time around, we want to put stuff “under glass and on the wall”.
Decided to watch some old movies on YouTube: today, a Hitchcock effort from 1942… Saboteur. The war was underway, but you’d never know it from life in America. I wonder if the people ever realized just how well off they really were. Anyhow, I’ll be seeking out other vintage flicks, because waiting for late night TV is just too hard. Not sure where I’d start, what with the satellite channel soup.
