Decide on a high point

posted in technology |

I’ve started the process. After contacting my fuel dealer and going through the mandatory credit verification, they agreed that my money was good. Not good enough to speed things along; the actual installation of a propane cylinder is about five weeks away, but that gave me enough “success” to move ahead with an order of a brand new standby generator.

The warranty on the available used unit wasn’t enough to offset a larger price. We’ll see how that goes.

The rest of the house headed off to explore points south, this afternoon. Territory I’ve already covered, so the dog and I spent the afternoon doing… not much of anything, actually. Neither of us disturbed the other, and any naptime was purely coincidental.

Thanks to Netflix, early evening TV (with provided pizza) involved digging into the library of shows we used to watch. That 70’s Show and Third Rock From The Sun aren’t deep, but the characters are so familiar that we didn’t need any time to get back into the comfort zone. Almost like family.

Trying to decide what the high point for the rest of the week might be. I spent a few minutes looking at the calendar of courses for seniors, but the necessary travel time, week after week, has a mental deterrent. After all, I’m enough of a self-learner that an instructor won’t be the key to my picking up a new skill. Have to see what others in the house intend to do over the next few months.

Maybe I’ll wait for spring.
