Definitely closed at this address

Am I capable of self-restraint? For sure! I actually waited all week before driving over to see if we would continue to have a discount electronics store in the neighbourhood. It was only after the call came in, to pick up our loaner dog, that I finally went to see for myself.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the answer I wanted; the company labels our store site as “definitely closed”. Hear that, O Amazon?

Moving along. Waiting for a nagging pain to disappear. Involves my metabolism and a tiny “stone”, so I’m cheering with a very soft voice. Why doesn’t medical science discover a tasty solution, involving three flavours of ice cream and a good afternoon movie?

Looking forward to the summer book release list. There’s another volume in search for that dragon tattoo; looks promising. I’m not going to commit to a return to paper, as the ebook reader remains more than satisfactory. I will read, though.

My “pile” of things to read is growing faster than forecast. My fault; there are so many other distractions around. Saw a “free of snow” date suggesting that a shovel will remain necessary until almost the end of May. That might distract me more than I like to admit.

I don’t know much about planting a new lawn, but snow strikes me as an impediment. That whole shovel clear before raking image. Never saw anyone lay sod on a snowbank, either.  In fact, this might be my mud baptism. As long as I don’t need a pair of hip waders…

The borrowed dog is noisy, today. I guess there must be more passersby, due to the clement temperature.
