Early watch
Back when my life was under the thumb of a dictatorial alarm clock, breaking my sleep pattern was not done. Not on purpose, at least. There were emergencies, and interruptions, but usually I began and ended the sleep period in concert with my working life.
Now, life provides more flexibility, which explains why I was able to take a chair in front of the TV, hours before dawn. And why I might do the same thing, hours from now. OUR team is in Japan, throwing rocks in the hope of gaining gold. Or silver, but gold would be better. The Jones team has earned a berth in the final, after whipping the willowy Russian team. Tonight, the Swiss “mountain”. Enough silly descriptives; I may be showing early signs of sleep deprivation.
I didn’t stay up long enough to witness the reopening of the nearby hardware store. Tomorrow, maybe, or the day after; the shopping list for LED bulbs isn’t marked as urgent. There isn’t any sale announced, so if I pay retail now or later, no difference.
The basement freezer is officially empty. There was a certain quantity of “spring melt” awaiting removal; a bailer towel took care of everything but the cosmetic sponging. That will wait until I purchase a bundle of sponges (available among the renewed box store inventory, I hope). May e my visit will be tomorrow…
Why does that smart phone require updating apps every time I turn it on? Not so smart, from my point of view. Might be time to purge the memory and start again, with a minimalist profile.
