Based on my observation
Someone, during an online lecture, said that astronomy is (perhaps) the only science based on observation instead of experimentation. I’ll accept that. Today, the news proudly informed us that today had a trifecta for skywatchers: an eclipse, an equinox and a “supermoon”. I saw none of the above. Blind faith required.
It goes well with the Northern Lights, unseen all week. In fact, the only thing that I did notice was Jupiter (too big and bright to ignore). Still not ready to barter for a telescope, though.
Let the record show: bananas don’t fry well. At least, based on my observation of son #3 in the kitchen, followed by my superscrub to clean the stick-free pan. Going to have to “feed” him some better ideas about food preparation.
The lawyer forwarded me a pile of paperwork to initial and return. Which I did, forthwith. Let the record show that postal services are pricey. What with the padded mailer, some stamps and registration, just over $17. No charge to explain to the clerk that the Island was part of Canada. Seriously, what DO they teach kids in school nowadays? We might not have qualified as ambulatory encyclopediae, but we knew the list of provinces and territories at an early age.
My list of jobs filled by the kids from the back of the class just grows and grows. And, worse, I haven’t bumped into a front row example in ages.
Did I mention that spring has started? Other than an odd logo on the Google front page, not much evidence.
Tonight, the final curtain call for Glee…
