An inventory of episodes
Well, that’s disconcerting. The blog server is unavailable right now, and all I can do is play the patience card. I’ll write offline, and hope (to the point of desperation) that things will come back online before long. This sort of glitch in the fabric of my universe doesn’t happen often, or I’d be looking for a new hosting site. My loyalty only goes so far.
I put my limited spreadsheet skills to use, this evening. I’ve decided that an inventory of TV episodes that I have on hand might be useful; if only to aid in my searches for completion. I collect in a compulsive manner, and missing one article from a set is a bigger deal that it might be for others. Something akin to the offline/online situation. That might actually explain a lot about my life.
We’re trying to “spend” some virtual points (from a corporate loyalty scheme) and the common interest seems to involve a small telescope. Perfectly useful, in deep country. No backscatter at night, and a chance of ship-spotting during daylight hours. My eyesight isn’t good enough to let me go all excited over peering into an eyepiece, but I support the others in their choice. It’s a family thing.
Parts of the east coast are preparing for the St. Patrick’s storm. Wouldn’t it be nice if it just didn’t happen, and people could settle for gently reminiscing about the good old days. After all, the sooner things melt away, the sooner I can go and play. Oh, and the server is back online already.
