Not pursuing that Target
The grocery store has to stop moving stuff around; it throws off my timing. On the other hand, it reinforces my hunting instinct, and allows me to eat, so I guess I’m stuck. See you in a few.
Since I also (now) have to track storms in more than one locale, note that the Island got walloped, and the pain continues. The city put an interdiction on parking anywhere downtown for forty-eight hours, although the penalty for having a buried buggy is unclear. Around here, we get snow for months on end, so I’m not surprised by the images. Jealous, perhaps. And if I had to unload a big truck of (my) stuff, right now, things could be inconvenient.
Speaking of windy weather, when I move, do I get penalized if the truck can’t cross the bridge? Just wondering.
Although I didn’t go, the liquidation sale for the Target chain began this morning. If ever the question resufaces, I didn’t go because a) I don’t know where the local store might be found, b) I wouldn’t shop there, anyways c) the Twitter feed mentions 10%, which isn’t enough of an attraction on anything under the price of a new home and d) I’m lazy. After shoveling out the plow spillage and getting groceries, all desire to roam a crowded department store is gone. Just like Target will be.
New interest on YouTube: youth choirs that “cover” current hits, in Gaelic. Strangely attractive, as a language learner. Or musician. Or curious how my neighbours might have looked, if my g-g-grandfather hadn’t caught the boat.
Today, Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy. What some will call “the end of an era”.
