A cornucopia of content
Popular music often pays hommage to the “one hit wonder”. So many to salute, so little material to compare… The thing is, we forget the opposite end of the scale; those who have so many hits that you can’t keep count. A lifetime achievement award seems to be the only possibility.
I happened, by chance, to look over the track listing from a box set by Bob Dylan. Note well, just looking over the list takes a LONG time, what with forty-seven disks, all neatly packed away into a bookcase anchor. Amazing. I’m not sure if I want to face the sort of marathon with headphones that would be needed to get through such a cornucopia.
This was the sort of day that only gets noted in a blog. Effectively, I did nothing; beyond a load of laundry and a couple of reheat sessions in the kitchen, this was serious “down time”. Mind, prime time is still about an hour away; maybe the TV will save the date.
Police (not sure which force) have issued a warning to those of you who babble in the morning. You might get a call, asking you to confirm your credit card credentials. The phisher depends on the manner that many handle life “BC” (before coffee) to give out too much information. I can’t imagine keeping my calm long enough to provide anything close to correct data to someone that rings my bell before sunrise. Truth be known, what with the number of messages I receive every week from banks that have never done business with me, I’m not sure how I’d tell if a caller wanted to talk to me.
