Faster foods and virtual wandering
When TV stations are pushing their NYE guest list a full three weeks early, they may be tired of this year. Me, not so much. Still have a few things remaining on my “get ‘er done” work list.
Talking with the well guy yesterday. Learned that the loads of shale for the driveway came out of one of those holes beside the house. Hope I get paid for my materials, when we settle accounts. This afternoon, a trial drafting of a basement layout. Rather simulated, since the floor hasn’t been poured, but things can catch up with you. The contractor did check back on the orientation without slipping in an extra cost list, so I remain hopeful.
Right now, a celebration of “22 years of 22 Minutes”. Already? Wow! Some personal memories triggered by their shenanigans. Doris Day!
Grocery shopping: bought a bottle of “bread machine yeast”. I try to imagine either of my grandmothers putting in a machine to make the daily loaves. Perhaps… Time is valuable, and once the process is familiar, might as well let something else take care of the grunt work. After all, the slow cooker hasn’t ripped a hole in the time-diet continuum. Gadgets are good.
Went for a virtual walk around the Trinity Loop last evening. Seriously. All that I lacked were the black flies and the jump down a washout gorge. I mean, during my other, real visit to the area, I was unaware that I could go for a three mile wander among the alders. Thank you, YouTube!
