Back to reality
In the background, our newest gadget is busily churning. Can’t tell you much more, yet, but if the illustrations hold true we should have some warm bread for bed. Magical.
This was another “fasten your seatbelt and relax day”, with the trek from there to here taking just over nine hours. Headwinds. I had nothing to do with the technical end of things, nor the success. Trying to keep the snoring down to below ambient motor noise levels was it. I’ll have to check and see how I did. Anyhow, the sun was out all day (except for a brief snow squall in northern NB), and we didn’t run out of fuel. That’s one definition of success.
The driveway needed a few moments of physical activity (yes, winter continued, even while we visited the fifth best island in the world). No biggie. I mean, clearing a few lumps of snow won’t break my back. The neighbour checked to see that we actually did have a new house (methinks he wants new neighbours, but is too polite to say so openly), and the mail contained nothing astonishing.
Even though I committed one of the capital sins of the digiphotographer (I travelled without a battery charger), the photos that did get past the low voltage sensor in the camera were OK. Enough for us to have an idea of the external progress (we were shrinking before gale force winds and ignoring details). Once the building of the garage and deck are completed, I’m going to be a proud lord of the manor.
