New sense of suddenly

posted in environment |

The dog gets fooled, every single time, by the sound of “our” doorbell on TV. Which begs the question: what’s he going to do in the new place? I could take the bell unit from here, to provide continuity. Something to think about.

We actually went and checked out the new laundry gear, this afternoon. Our answer to encroaching cabin fever. Tomorrow, we should go and see if the camera gear at the local show looks familiar. The dog will wait, patiently, in the car.

Someone suggested that we “mark” boxes as they get packed. Something simple; coloured dots from the dollar store, perhaps. I keep wondering if we should mark all six faces of the cube. One step more; use a similar pattern to that of a gaming die. Although that might incite a loader to “toss” the boxes for high score, or Movers’ Yahtzee. Might rethink that.

Rumours of snow. Elsewhere. Even though my boots are waterproofed, and the tuque is dry, no need to rush things.

Parliament is all in a tizzy, after two MPs were suspended from caucus, suddenly. Inappropriate something or other (we aren’t given details). Except for one: certain of the activities took place over a year ago… Makes me question if I’ve completely misunderstood the meaning of “suddenly” for all these years.

Better yet. Does that mean I can now pay my taxes, “suddenly”? Does anyone know? Governments really are a universe unto themselves. I’m sure that the story will be revealed in all its sodden charm before long.
