Tip of my iceberg
Gadgets are the bane of my budget. Too many things that are just plain cool (and just plain expensive). If an excess of cash suddenly appeared on my horizon, there would be issues. Others want to travel; I want to play.
This afternoon, I learned that there’s a “stomp box” that makes an electric guitar sound like an electric organ! Admit it… that’s worth two thumbs up on the cool list. Electro-Harmonix B9, if you want to explore YouTube to see and hear what I mean. If you make the plunge and buy two, I accept gifts graciously.
And that’s the “tip of the iceberg”. Yes, going back to the Rock to see a growler or two would be fun, but gadgets…
You see, my “job” for the next few weeks is disposal of a personal store of gadgets. Oh, the pain! I will be forced to do much more than compromise on a principle. The kids have told me that they don’t want to do the job on my behalf, later on my timeline.
Sitting here, and I hear a whimper. The dog has managed to weave his lead around the shrubs in the front yard, and digs don’t do undo well. The coax and point game worked, eventually; only because he dislikes standing in the rain while we wave from the open door. Next address, we need a better method.
Going back to the “gifts, graciously” thing; how do you handle comments on social media? Seems that giving a “like” is de rigueur. My take is that a comment is part of a perceived communication, and that’s all.
