Burger-Bits!

posted in environment |

The headline inspires odd ideas: Burger-Bits! Something even the do will want to bring home in a family pack. Earlier today, one of the largest hamburger chains (in the world) decided to “move in” with the largest coffee franchiser in Canada.

Truth be told, it has nothing to do with food. By setting up house in Canada, there is a substantial tax saving ahead for the patty between two slices of bread people. A credit to our corporate care for shareholders everywhere. The two parties involved mention that things will be “business as usual”, and I have no reason to doubt that. Profit trumps flavour… always.

Trying to understand how an iPad uses available storage space, given the finite nature of the stuff. I had read an online newspaper this summer, and the virtual pile would do a seasoned hoarder proud. Ditto for FB. I have cleaned house, a little. Will continue to read, in hopes of a magic app that takes this issue in hand.

On the news, a tour of the new wood pellet silos on the local waterfront. They may never be this clean and neat again in my lifetime. Would be an interesting place to try some resonant flute studies, if they offered. Worked for Paul Horn.

Now that people are returning to work, my main responsibility is resetting voicemail accounts. “Is that all there is?” can serve as my swan song. Hardly the important role one aspires to. The pay remains the same; that will serve as balm on any mental wound.

Tomorrow, I pack my water bottle.
