Would a tornado ruffle feathers?

posted in politics, sports |

Oh, the things we imagine… watching the celebrations on the Hill, for Canada Day. On the news cutaway, a tornado warning for the area just to the north of the city. Me wondering where all those folk are going to hide, should  a twister wander their way. Really wondering if the main Cheese would show any excitement, or his hair would ruffle in the breeze. Guess I’ll never know.

On a related note, why did the GG come to the party in a horse and carriage, while the Cheese required seven large vehicles in a convoy. They live just up the street from one another, and the walk is only about three kilometers. Exercise might be a way to relieve (political) stress. And can I petition the armed forces for a used tuba? Wondering…

Around here, the humidex pushed up to 42C, which excused me from any form of physical labour or a need to wander around outside. The dog continued to display ambivalent behavior. You know; sleep or run, inside or outside, eat anyone else’s food (except his own) Does warm kibble lose its flavour?

Watched the last few minutes of a World Cup match. No change in my impression. Paint drying is “funner”.

We had to add some more “nights” in a hurry this morning, after realizing that the schedule for the next couple of weeks contains more days than originally calculated.  Not too hard; the merchants still want money, as the month gets underway. Tourists are fickle, and when one offers to stay… you profit.
