Setting up the iStudio

posted in music, technology |

Two dogs. A window on the world. People passing in the street. All that lacks is a translation of the the dialogue.

This afternoon, I decided to “build” my new iProduction kit. One app at a time, with careful reflection and attention to the reviews available from others. Especially the reviews. No time to guess what all the pretty dials and buttons might do, otherwise. My screen looks like this:iPad studio

This is just the starting point. I now have to master what is “new technology”, and try to put ideas into form. Lots of time, no pressure. After all, this is for fun. We’re not born “knowing it all”.

The local weather was great, with a high of 24C in the back yard. Might have to get that old pool thing started early, if this continues (it won’t). Summer is an ideal. I could also commit to getting the bike out of the basement, and revamping my personal commitment to health and fitness.  Oh, how good that sounds.

I’m also into week two of my “geospatial revolution” course, with my interest still high. What we used to call geography, back in school. The assignments are unclear, but there seems to be a section devoted to interpreting pretty coloured maps. Physical disability should not matter. I can fake the colour matching, or ask a friend for assistance (just like on a game show). I did learn that UPS now thinks of itself as a technology firm that happens to own some trucks. Right there, worth the cost.
