A CD for a cutting edge

posted in technology |

Perhaps I wasn’t paying attention, or it may have something to do with Important Capitalization. According to the page I read (several times) over at Microsoft, unless I upgrade Windows 8.1 with the Windows 8.1 Update I will not be able to update with other upgrades after the next Patch Tuesday. So far, I’m unclear about what I’m supposed to do, because the Update is not available on the update page.

Oh well.

Did you know that certain paper jams, on certain printers, require disassembly of the various optional components (think retro-verso)? However, the simple action of piling the pieces to the puzzle on the office floor may be enough to resolve the issue. I love my job. And, after finding that a knife wasn’t included with the gifted cake (don’t ask, I won’t tell), we found that a CD serves as as perfect cake cutter. And that other CDs serve as serving plates, as long as you carefully plug the hole in the bottom with your hand. Tech technique.

This was a foggy day, and I managed to capture a couple of snapshots to help me recall (in future). One moment, while I delve into the Dropbox…

Fog 01  Fog 02

Nothing to require a search team to get me home, or a GPS with fresh batteries. Just a bit of blur from melting snow. By the time the rest of the country starts playing Frisbee in the park, or chasing little white balls around a perfectly manicured park, we may be able to stow the shovels. Looking forward to the day.
