Another season of snow pics

The magic didn’t happen. Although the new Apple TV was on, and we had a laptop screen showing on the real TV, there was no sound. The volume was up, and the laptop had no difficulty. And so the dance began.

Check the wires. Chec the power cords. Check the alignment of the planets. Reset everything (with the exception of the planets. Still nothing. And then I unplugged the HDMI cable, and noticed that I didn’t have all the parts I should. Cheap cables can’t handle the stress of detachment, much like cheap people. Given the price I’d paid (les than $5, i took the direct approach and threw the cable away. Another one awaited. New cable; new day. Our little cinema that could now does.

The dog has adopted the hilltop as his own. Let me show you.

Dog in branches

The sort of photo that a) is completes skewed, exposure-wise, by the mass of snow and b) would be great fun to recreate in mid summer, when the dog would be floating a full meter off the ground. Anyhow, he is content to spend much longer sitting on his imaginary mountain than would I. Guess that hairy posterior serves a purpose.

Another car-assisted sprint for the bus (by son #3). His judgement of the time required to get to the nearest stop is underestimated, time after time after time.

We’re now into the time of year where I pay close attention to the disappearing snow. Here’s a recap of the last nine years, same date, same time:
